MPP team members attended the World Hepatitis Summit from 1-3 November 2017 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. MPP’s Executive Director Greg Perry addressed conference participants at a number of events:

  • On 1 November at 17:30, he discussed how voluntary licences could facilitate access to hepatitis C treatment at a side meeting on Unitaid’s role in hepatitis C.
  • And on 2 November at 12:00, addressed a workshop on Options for countries with access to generic hepatitis medicines.

Policy and Advocacy Manager Liudmyla Maistat also participated in the summit proceedings:

  • She co-chaired a session on Modelling and cost effectiveness for global scale up with Benjamin Cowie, the Director of the Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis at the World Health Organization on 2 November at 13:00.
  • And led a workshop session on Delivering high quality hepatitis services on 2 November at 14:00.
